My work revolves around our trepidatious relationship with the natural world; the liminal space that we inhabit between nature and the modern commodified world. Much of the development of these pieces involves working outside, close to the subject. The play of materials and acute observation feeds a wider creative process.

In addition to painting and drawing I also work with other media. During the past few years I have worked in clay and installation. I also write, but primarily think of myself as a painter.
