Biography

I develop the paintings using  initial studies and drawings from subjects outside of the studio. My interests lie in my local environment in North London, Cornwall and the model.

I have worked in educational environments for much of my career, initially in socially engaged projects in partnership with Islington Youth Service and regeneration projects.  Between 2005 and 2021 I ran the Outreach department at Central Saint Martins, a role that gave me the opportunity to work with some fantastic artists, designers and students. 

When not in the studio or in the woods, I teach on a freelance basis supporting portfolio and studio development and life drawing. I show my work regularly.  Here is a link to my CV.
